A new pavilion of psychiatric clinic will grow in the following months on the premises of the Pilsen University Hospital. It will bring a greater comfort to patients and at the same time it will be in the line with the concept of psychiatric care reform. The construction of the psychiatric pavilion was inaugurated on Tuesday 18 September and will be carried out by Division J – Bohemia.
The space for the pavilion in Lochotín premises of the University Hospital Pilsen is located at the internal pavilion near the entrance A and offers patients single and double rooms. The number of beds will increase compared to the current state. At the same time, space for ambulatory surgery will be extended.
The construction works include the modification of the local road leading to the heliport. An inside outdoor atrium with lawns and green spaces will be built for closed emergency department, it will temporarily be the only place for a number of hospitalized patients to get into the fresh air and leave the interior of the building and the department.
OHL ŽS together with the Geosan Group is cooperating on the construction for more than 350 million CZK. OHL ŽS has an extensive experience with hospital facilities. It is worth mentioning the recently opened modern and energy-independent clinic at Olomouc University Hospital, the children’s pavilion in Jindřichův Hradec or the current reconstruction of the historical clinic in České Budějovice, where psychiatry will be located as well.
